Our vibrant and budget-friendly hostel, Casamaya 848 is perfect for travelers and adventurers alike. We offer cozy accommodations, expert-led scuba diving excursions, and a community of like-minded explorers.
Who We Are
Casamaya 848 is a new concept of "this is your home" hostel, and we like to show it. As soon as you are enter you get that home vibe, some latin music playing, and your soon to be friends lounging by the swimming pool with a cold drink, others playing with the cutest dog there is, Maco, and the last will be back soon from their diving excursions are ride around beautiful Cozumel.
The villa turned into a very affordable dive hostel is a beautiful propperty full of wonders, from the crowd of turtles and iguanas in the backyard, the curious humming birds that come to breath the fresh air of that lush piece of nature in the heart of Cozumel.
Pepe and Rudy are the minds behind this project, two diving instructors with a passion for what they do, hosting and teaching scuba diving. They like to share time with the guests and share stories and great moments with travelers alike, never a dull day in Casamaya 848, accompanied by the coolest volunteers there are, fitting perfectly the laid back vibe whilst keeping the right level of professionalism, to make your experience unforgettable and of quality.
Accommodations
Casamaya 848 is an adults-only hostel with the best home vibe, that good you will not want to leave. Pepe, Rudy and the volunteers are always making sure the guests have the best Cozumel experience and only leave this beautiful hostel wanting to come back.
There are 3 rooms in total, a private room that can accomodate up to 4 guests, an 8 bed dorm room with 6 individuals and 2 doubles, all with curtains and electric plugs, and a 9 bed dorms all individuals, all with curtains and electric plugs. The rooms all have garden views, free Wifi and free coffee,
The pool is always accessible and we keep it as clean as possible and control the quality of the water to make sure you can enjoy it any time. Feel free to light up one of the grills too, here in Casamaya848 we love a good old get together, if the guests like to organize an event, the hosts may very well join and bring some local friends, giving you the most authentic island vibe.
Guests can keep up their exercise routines during yoga and fitness classes upon request, amongst other activities ran by our local friends. Both a bicycle rental service and a car and scooter rental service are available at the hostel

Casamaya 848 offers quick and easy access to learn how to scuba dive.
Let's face it, most people come to Cozumel for the beauty of the reefs that are part of the Meso American reef system, the second largest coral reef after the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, and yes the diving is phenomenal.
Here at Casamaya 848, we share a passion for the ocean as both of us hosts have been diving instructors for years now. We offer from the house all types of courses from beginners to professional and technical training. For our guests, we also offer free scuba demos in the pool at Casamaya for you to try it if you are stranger to it, and perhaps you would like to go and do it hovering on top of some of the most beautiful coral reefs on the planet. If diving is not for you we offer all types of other activities and help you organize your trip according to your preferences.
