Who We Are
We are Pepe and Rudy, two friends who started this venture together. Pepe is from Veracruz, Mexico and Rudy is from Chamonix, France. Two lads who grew up thousands of miles away but share the same passion and vision--a love for the island and diving. We are here in the house doing our best to make your stay as comfortable as possible, and we are always proud to show our place to our guests. You will enter our little heaven of lush nature and colorful plants, occupied by the shy iguanas, the curious turtles and the house dog, Maco. Come stay with us and have easy access to our tailored dive service. Wether you are a first timer are a well rounded diver, trust me you will find your happiness with us.

Casamaya848 Cozumel in Cozumel is an adults-only hostel with the best home vibe, that good you will not want to leave. Pepe and Rudy are always making sure the guests have the best Cozumel experience and only leave this beautiful hostel wanting to come back.
There are 3 rooms in total, a private room that can accomodate up to 4 guests, an 8 bed dorm room with 6 individuals and 2 doubles, all with curtains and sockets, and a 9 bed dorms all individuals, all with curtains and socket. Therooms all have garden views, free Wifi is available throughout the property.
The pool is always accessible and we keep it as clean as possible and control the quality of the water to make sure you can enjoy it any time. Feel free to light up the grill too, here in Casamaya848 we love a good old get together, if the guests like to organize an event, the hosts may very well join and bring some local friends, giving you the most authentic island vibe.
Guests can keep up their exercise routines during yoga and fitness classes upon request, amongst other activities ran by our local friends. Both a bicycle rental service and a car and scooter rental service are available at the hostel

Learn to Dive
Casamaya 848 offers quick and easy access to learn how to scuba dive.
Let's face it, most people come to Cozumel for the beauty of the reefs, as I am sure you already know, the island's reefs are part of the Meso American reef system, the second largest coral reef after the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, and yes the diving is phenomenal.
Here at Casamaya 848, we share a passion for the ocean as both of us hosts have been diving instructors for years now. We offer from the house all types of courses from beginners to professional and technical training. For our guests, we also offer free scuba demos in the pool at Casamaya for you to try it if you are stranger to it, and perhaps you would like to go and do it hovering on top of some of the most beautiful coral reefs on the planet. If diving is not for you we offer all types of other activities and help you organize your trip according to your preferences.
